So this morning I logged into myUNSW only to find a new tab had been added that was labelled ‘Academic Admin’ (usually I see Home, Student Profile and Staff Profile). So I installed Firefox 3 yesterday.
Good move.
Features I do like include, but are not limited to:
AwesomeBar, the URL bar now does a keyword search of your url history, so typing ‘mail daave’ will come up with ‘http://mail.google.com/a/daave.com’, rather than having to get the url right from the start

Yesterday I reformatted my MacBook Pro and installed OS X Leopard. Now one of the arguments I’ve often used with Windows (TM) users when discussing reasons to switch to Mac has been that unlike Windows which seems to get ‘clogged’ very easily and needs a reformat every 6 months, OS [...]
I’m thinking of turning this site into a Tumblelog, not sure yet. The main motivation is that if I don’t have to write as much I’ll probably do so more often.
Today I was sitting in a databases lecture when James suggested the title of this post. I wonder how much there actually is, whether there’s any practical way of measuring it, and whether this post is part of it.
While every CSE student at unsw has some webspace for their personal homepage, not many of them are particularly interesting. After a bit of browsing these are the ones I’ve decided are pretty cool, Kudos to you guys.

There was a bit of a tragedy this morning. In my haste I typed
rm -R 755 public_html
instead of
chmod -R 755 public_html
this of course had the unwanted effect of removing all files in my public_html directory and all of it’s subdirectories. Since the page had only been up for around 15 hours, the tape [...]
